What are OA Dates?
I learned something new today. I learned from Dundas support why the dates on my report were showing up in the wrong century. If you want to learn more about how to resolve an issue with this issue in a Dundas chart go to this Dundas tip entry I added today. An OA Date is an OLE Automation date which is implemented as a floating point number whose value is the number of days from midnight, 30th December, 1899. Therefore, 31 December, 1899 is 1.0 and January 2nd, 1900 at 6PM is represented by 2.75, etc. Heading backward in time December 29, 1899 is represented by -1.0.
If you ever run into the problem where you are seeing dates in your chart that refer to the wrong century read my Dundas Tips and Tricks FAQ entry by clicking on the link above.
