I have a situation where the labels in my line chart are displaying on two lines as seen below:
In the Chart Designer you should go into the Advanced Tab, X Axis, Labels, and set LabelsAutoFit to FALSE and then click on the LabelsAutoFitStyle down arrow and uncheck the Offset Labels checkbox as seen below:
The labels will then appear one one line:
